I didn’t know for sure how this was going to work out. I live about 60-70 miles from the hotel. In Feb/07, I joined the HBA chapter of RWA. I had been thinking about the convention and reps from the convention came to our meeting. In March, I went on line and registered. Now all I had to do was come up with the money not only for the convention but also the hotel. The convention fees had to be paid for my April 1st. (I often wondered if that date was chosen on purpose.) Now comes the hotel fees. You are talking to gal that usually stays at Motel 6. You know they keep the light on for ya. Paying $119 + tax per night and they better have chocolate on the pillows each night. In my registration, I asked for help in finding a roommate. It was getting pretty close to time to make a decision and cancel some days on my room. I figured that I could drive back and forth. Although thinking about Houston traffic could give someone indigestion. I didn’t have to cancel the room I have a room mate. So we will each get a break on the room and have more money to spend on other things. I am taking my camera. My daughter said that she wanted pictures of the cover models. She may have to fight me for them.
